Project Setup

If your firm has more than a dozen active projects at a time, then it may be easier for the designers to be assigned to projects.
By doing this it means that when they are using the Companion and need to save an item to a project, they will only see the projects they are assigned to. Otherwise, they would have to scroll through many projects to get to the one they need.

Assigning designers is also helpful if you want designers to see only their projects when they log into DesignSmart.

There is a setting that your DesignSmart Project Manager will need to set for the Companion so that it will show all projects or just those that are assigned to the designer. Please discuss with your Project Manager which setting makes the most sense for your firm.

To assign staff to projects you need to go to the Staff Tab on the Projects Detail View. The layout is shown below:
