Specifications Sub-Tab
In the Specifications Sub-Tab, you can enter additional free-form text.
Product Notes Sub-tab
If you enter text in the Product Notes Sub-Tab, then the text will stay with the product and will be visible anytime this product is used.
Item Notes Sub-tab
If you enter this text in the Item Notes Sub-Tab, this text will only appear with this item and will not become part of the product description.
You can indicate if this information is to appear on the purchase order or not by clicking on the "Show on PO" button.
If your firm has set up Specifications Templates, you can have them populate here by filling in the Type and Detail pull-downs.
Clicking on the Edit button above will bring up the Text Entry window.
The data entered into this window will be saved automatically, but you can also click the Save button to be safe.
Beware that when you paste text into this text field most of the formatting will be removed.
