Service Invoices
Service Invoices
DesignSmart includes two types of invoices: Merchandise and Service.
Merchandise Invoices are created from the Items List View.
Services Invoices are created from the Timesheets List View.
The reason for the two types of invoices is that they need to display different information.
Merchandise Invoices typically have the item name, quantity, unit price, and extended price.
Service Invoices generally have, the service provided, the date the work was done, the name of the staff person, the number of hours being billed, the hourly billing rate, and the cost (hours times billing rate).
Creating a Service Invoice
Step 1:
Like all reports you need to use the Filter Bar to narrow down the timesheets you want to invoice. Alternatively, you can use the Select buttons to select the timesheets you need to invoice.
Step 2:
To create Service Invoices, click on the Create Invoice button.
This will show a preview of the invoice. When the invoice is as you want it, click on the "Create Invoice" as shown below.
Step 3:
If the project has a Service Deposit balance, it will appear on the left side of the screen and you can apply all or part of that amount to the Service Invoice.
Step 4:
Click the Create Invoice button to create the invoice.
